Make Ahead Waffle Casserole

  • 8 toaster waffles, lightly toasted and chopped
  • 1 pound pork breakfast sausage
  • 8 eggs
  • 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • Kosher salt
  • Fresh cracked black pepper
  • Maple syrup for drizzling
  1. Lightly grease a 2-quart casserole dish
  2. Layer 1/2 of the waffle pieces into the bottom of the casserole dish. Top with 1/2 of the browned sausage, and 1/3 of the cheese. Repeat with remaining waffles, sausage, and 1/3 of the cheese
  3. Mix the eggs, milk, dry mustard, salt, and pepper together in a medium bowl.
  4. Carefully pour the egg mixture into the casserole dish.
  5. Cover the casserole dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate.
  6. Preheat over to 350 degrees F.
  7. Cover the casserole loosely with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
